Up for auction is this pair of loose vintage / antique palm leaf manuscript panels with Thai writing and beautiful original drawings / art on each. Incomplete but still great old collectibles and fine Southeast Asian art!
I believe these may have come from Thailand or perhaps Burma / Myanmar in Southeast Asia.
Incredible detail and all done by hand. These are religious / Buddhist manuscripts and they have wonderful art and mythical gods and figures and foliage on each panel perhaps depicting what is written on the other side.
Each palm leaf panel measures about 6.4” inches long and 2.4” inches wide.
