Two MONTREAL EXPO 67 STEEL TRAYS -- Man & his World, Terre des Hommes, 1967

Description

Measuring about 11" x 8", these matching pictorial steel trays show the Biosphere that was built for the 1967 Montreal "Expo 67" World's Fair, and which remained onsite as an attraction for many more years as part of the ongoing "Man and His World" (or "Terre des Hommes") exhibition. The caption "Biosphere" is printed at the upper right corner of each tray, and the upper and lower rims have the words "Terre des Hommes, Montreal, Canada" along the top, and "Man and His World, Montreal, Canada" along the bottom. Although the trays bear the official logo of Expo 67, the phrase "Expo 67" is conspicuously missing, so it's possible the trays are souvenirs from some year after 1967. The image itself, however, with the crowds and the flags and the surrounding buildings, appears to be an image from the height of the Expo in 1967.
Condition wise, please look closely at the pictures. They have a few scrapes and scratches and dull spots, as well as remnants of labels or stickers at the top left corners, which I haven't attempted to remove.
