When returning an item, it must be in all of the original packaging and include all of the original accessories or items that came with it. The item and package should be in original and perfect condition. You will be required to cover shipping on the return of non-defective items. We installed the glass panels on our back 16-foot by 12-foot deck a couple years ago. The installation was easy and problem-free. It looks good and it is sturdy and maintenance free. The deck is 10 feet above the ground, and the glass panels give us a great unobstructed view of our yard, pond, and pasture. We like it so well that we decided to do the same on our front porch 16-foot by 8-foot deck. While installing the front deck, we discovered that some of the end caps for the stair rails were defective. We called Home Depot and without hesitation they offered to exchange the defective parts at the store. Because of COVID, we were apprehensive about returning to the store. So we contacted Peak directly and they overnighted the replacement parts free of charge. The true test of a company's customer service is how they respond to problems. Both Home Depot and Peak Manufacturing were great!

This gate should fit openings as stated, I had no issue cutting it to fit my needs. You will need a post at each, where the hinges are located and where the latch is, these are not included. The finish is a black semi-gloss powder coat finish, although it is a very light coat. Be careful, it scratches easily.
