, published during World War II when most if not all Cine-Kodak Specials were being made for the military.
The cameras shown in the illustrations are the
all-black version of the Cine-Kodak Special that was made for military use.
Introduced in 1933, the
Cine-Kodak Special
was a heavy-duty, precision made camera intended for use by industrial filmmakers, government agencies, hospitals, nature photographers, and well-to-do advanced amateurs. (In 1940, the basic camera with a 25mm lens, one film chamber, a set of six masks and an oiling outfit cost the equivalent of over ,900.00 in today’s dollars!)
This copy comes from a non-smoking household.
It measures about 6” x 8-1/2” and consists of 40 pages. This was a “working” copy and shows signs of wear and use.
