Description
Description of the objectCine camera 35 mm Arriflex 35. Arriflex represents a range of professional cinematographic cameras. It was designed from 1937 by the German firm Arnold & Richter Cine Technik (now Arri). Several models were produced starting from the initial Arriflex 35. It was the first portable 35mm cinema camera, built with a rotating reflex mirror shutter designed by Erich Kastner, chief engineer at Arnold & Richter Cine Technik (ARRI). It allowed the operator to have a viewfinder image equal to the recorded image. The device was used effectively during WWII for German news. The Arriflex 35 employs a three-mount turret and has a frame rate of up to 90 fps. It uses stores of 200 or 400 feet. The model we are presenting could date from the immediate post-war period (1946). Serial number 1453.
